LG Display, the South Korean LCD Panel maker, has announced the world’s slimmest full HD LCD panels for smartphones. The 5.2 inches panel will offer immersive viewing experience and better grip-ability to the users.
The panel is merely 2.2 mm thin and features a 2.3 mm bezel.According to LG, the new LCD panel enables the manufacture of a sleeker FHD smartphone, which will be easier to grip and lighter in weight. Based on Advanced One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, the LCD panel from LG comes with dual flexible printed circuits, which reduce the number of lines on the panel by up to 30 percent.
The panel features 1080 x 1920 pixels, comprising Red, Green, Blue (RGB) sub-pixels, which has the brightness of 535 nits at maximum.Certified by Intertek, a well-known, testing firm, the LCD panel offers better performance even in sunlight.
