Webe, the new telco created by TM after it took over from P1 a while back, has been teased for some time, but it’s only now that it has been officially launched.
They will offer unlimited data, texts and calls only from as low as RM79 (or RM83.74 including GST). Notice this offer only be entitled for TM costumer or webe member, and if you have a webe certified phone. If you don’t meet both the criteria, you’ll unfortunately have to cough up RM199 per month or meet either one of them, and you’ll be paying RM139 a month instead.
According to Azizi A. Hadi, chief executive officer of Webe, the company does not call itself a telco, but a “digital mobility services provider” and Webe also serves as TM Group’s “mobility centre for excellence”.
The service is expected to be generally available to all customers by the fourth quarter of this year.
