KUALA LUMPUR, 19 October 2016 – The Acer Swift 3 has landed in Malaysia! First unveiled at IFA Berlin, the Acer Swift 3 is the first of the new series of ultra-thin and lightweight laptops to be made available to Malaysians.
Measuring 17.95 mm thin and weighing just 1.5 kg, the Acer Swift 3 comes in a solid all-aluminum chassis1. The symmetrical, perfectly rounded-corner design gives the device a solid image that is sleek at the same time. Users can fully enjoy an immersive computing experience thanks to the 14” display, which is larger than most of the ultra-slim laptops on the market.
This lightweight laptop is powered by a 6th Generation Intel® CoreTM i5 processor, making it the ideal device for mobile computing and incredible productivity. In addition to offering lower power consumption and better CPU performance, the processor also offers enhanced graphics for a complete multi-media experience.
With battery life of up to 10 hours1, users can conveniently leave their chargers at home and still accomplish all the tasks and play while on the move.
With the latest 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac wireless technology, enjoy three times faster download, smoother streaming and a better browsing experience. The device also features a fast 256GB SSD and 4GB of memory, delivering concrete results in a small package.
The Acer Swift 3 is equipped with the Acer Fingerprint Reader, a biometric authentication system that is paired with Windows Hello to offer a quick and secure way for Windows 10 to verify your identity without passwords. It takes less than one second from scanning a fingertip to accessing the Windows account. The Acer Fingerprint Reader makes logging in to your device not only convenient and simple, but also highly secure and private. Unless another person has the same exact fingerprint, there is no possibility of the information in the Acer Swift 3 being accessed without permission.
Other premium features include USB 3.1 Type-CTM port which supports fast data transfer, display output and to charge the laptop, and a HD webcam with High Dynamic Range. There is also a backlit keyboard paired with a large 72 mm touchpad to provide ample room to navigate and maneuver.
Available in two colour options, the Sparkly Silver (available immediately) and the Luxury Gold (in stock next month), the Acer Swift 3 is priced at RM2,899 (inclusive 6% GST) and will be available for purchase immediately at select authorized Acer resellers nationwide.
