University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering (UniMy), the first boutique university devoted solely to providing specialized computer science and engineering education in Malaysia was launched last week.
UniMy offers an integrated 1+3+1 Computer Science and Engineering programme starting from Foundation, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science. The first enrolment for Foundation Studies is expected to begin in May while enrolment for Undergraduate Programmes is scheduled in September 2013. Two undergraduate programmes – a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering – are available and admissions to the degree programmes are also open for registration to candidates with A-level, STPM, and diploma or equivalent qualifications.
The institution is targeting to enrol 3,000 students by 2016. [more…]
The university has also entered into various Collaboration Agreements with partners such as the University of Melbourne (UNIMELB), Microsoft, IBM, EC Council, Dell, Huawei and Autodesk to increase the graduates’ marketability and employability.
