Dell has just added the 14-inch Vostro 5460 laptop to its lineup of ultra-portable laptops. It is Dell’s thinnest and lightest Vostro laptop to date, measuring at 18.3mm and weighing in at just 1.54kg. The device is suitable to those seeking mobility and performance at an affordable price.
Vostro 5460 comes with a 14-inch high-definition widescreen LED (HD WLED) TrueLife display that supports up to 1366 x 768 pixels, integrated stereo speakers and a dedicated subwoofer powered by HD Audio with Waves MaxxAudio 4.0. For imaging, the laptop features an integrated 720p HD 1MP camera with microphones for HD web-conferencing. In addition, the Vostro 5460 packs a full-sized chiclet keyboard, three USB 3.0 ports (one with Power Share capability), an SD card reader, an HDMI port, headphone/microphone combo jack, as well as the standard connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and an Ethernet port.
At its core, the Vostro 5360 sports a 3rd generation Intel Core i3 and i5 processors and integrated HD 4000 graphics (upgradeable to optional 2GB DD3 NVIDIA GeForce GT630M graphics). Users can also opt for either the standard or Ultrabook configurations, with the latter packing a 32GB SSD for speedier performance and added storage.
