Taiwan’s HTC Corp has unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the HTC One with the hope to excel from the crowd of Google Android devices on the market. The One combines some standout elements of last year’s flagship and a slew of updated design elements and new standout features.
Key Features of HTC One:
Zero-gap unibody design
Full metal body. Zero gap construction. And tapered edges that offer a slim but satisfying grip.
HTC UltraPixel Camera
The HTC One uses what the company calls an “UltraPixel camera.” Aided by a new dedicated “ImageChip” and retooled light sensor, the camera is said to be able to absorb three times as much light as a typical smartphone camera setup. The resolution is limited to 4 megapixels, but HTC insists the pixels are far more detailed and high-quality than what you’d get with other comparable phones.
The One’s main camera includes optical image stabilization. The phone has a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, too, with an 88-degree wide-angle lens and 1080p video-capturing capability.[more…]
HTC BoomSound™
The new HTC One comes with dual frontal stereo speakers powered by built-in amplifiers deliver bigger sound with less distortion and more detail.
HTC BlinkFeed™. Your live home screen.
With HTC BlinkFeed™, simply pick the social networks, news and feeds you want to stay updated on and they’ll all stream live to your home screen.
Sense TV
With Sense TV you just need to take a few simple steps to be able to select TV channels, access program guides, adjust audio and more with your HTC One. Find your favorite shows, and it will notify you when they’re on. Take control of your TV experience with your phone.
Sense Voice: Call clarity—even in a crowd.
The world doesn’t include a volume knob. So talking on the phone in any loud, crowded environment can be a challenge. The new HTC One solves that problem with Sense Voice. It includes dual built-in microphones that detect loud ambient noise and will then dynamically boost the in-call voice to compensate.
